“ My wife and I went to Maya for dinner on May 23. We were impressed by the number and quality of the reviews that have proceeded ours. We were equally impressed as the other reviewers. The atmosphere was inviting, clean, and refreshing. We were immediately greeted by the hostess and provided a very appealing table with a view of the entire restaurant. We were served some excellent chips, salsa, and water immediately upon being seated. The menu was exciting with appealing pictures of dishes that weren’t familiar to us. We chose to share the chopped salad with avocado ranch dressing– it was flavorful, fresh, and enough for the two of us. Our entree that we shared was a very sizable 16 ounce ribeye served hot and sizzling on a hot granite stone seasoned and cooked to perfection and our choice of medium rare. The dipping sauces were flavorful and not too spicy. Our sides were roasted potatoes with a vegetable medley. Everything was hot, tasty, and appealing. The service by Johnny was superb. The cocktails were tangy and refreshing. The next we’re in Ocean Isle we will be back to visit Johnny our server, the owner, Joaquin, and the excellent staff at Maya. ”

“ Ordered the hamburger they have on menu. It is a perfect amount of beef for a perfect bite. The lettuce, tomato, jack cheese, and onion balance out the hambuger for an enjoyable bite until gone. Best salsa and chips in town. ”

“ My family and I recently vacationed in OIB, NC (off-season, mid September). I had researched local restaurants prior to our trip and I was happy that I had Maya on my list! Even after a tropical cyclone (which caused major flooding throughout the county!), Maya was open and our large group was able to get right in. The food was very good, not overly salty or spicy, and our service was excellent. Drinks were delicious!! The prices were fair and everyone enjoyed their meals. Presentation was meticulous as you can see in my photos. If you are looking for a nice dinner spot, this is the place! ”

“ My husband and I had dinner here while on vacation visiting my parents. Their restaurant is located inside of a strip mall but when you open the door, you are pleasantly surprised by how gorgeous it is inside! We were greeted quickly and taken to the bar to be seated. Our server (I’m sad I don’t remember his name) was very attentive and helped us make choices from their amazing menu. We got the guacamole to start which was perfect! I had the Mahi Al Pastor which was so delicious! My husband got the Enchiladas Del Mar from the Specialty Dishes menu and he loved them! The drinks were fabulous, the service was on point and the food was sooo yummy! We recently needed a gift idea for my parents so I called to get a gift card to this amazing restaurant and I had the absolute pleasure of speaking with Veronica. She was so incredibly sweet and helped me with the gift card and because we are from out of town, offered to drive it to my parent’s house!!!!! I was blown away by her kindness which makes me love this place even more! If you are in the area, this place is a must! ”

“ This place is amazing. It’s one of those places that is so good you can’t believe it’s in a small beach town. We’ve taken two trips to Ocean Isle and have eaten here three times. Everything our group ordered was great: guacamole, tacos, chicken, steak and drinks. You should definitely try it. ”
